Last rites...

Over the years I have seen in my own life how easily my actions have drowned out anything that I may have said or believed.  Not just faith issues, but in personal relationships and integrity.  Say one thing...do another.  So what are people to believe.  What's that old parental maxim... "Do as I say not as I do!"  James won't let us off the hook that easy. In chapter 2, verses 1-17 of his letter he makes it abundantly clear that words without action to support them are empty words to begin with.  He also says that faith without action to support it isn't just empty, it's dead!  I wonder how many of us shouldn't be organizing funeral services for our faith right now.
