Feeding Hungry Hearts.

*

Hello All,
Todays message talks about the true 'Bread of Life' which is Christ and His redeeming sacrifice for us. Jesus, as the Bread of Life, will sustain our soul now and in the eternal future.
Don't settle for spiritual 'fast food' which might 'look good in the photos': feed your soul on that which sustains always...the eternal Word of God.

Illawarra Lutheran Parish.
6th August, 2006.
9th Sunday after Pentecost.

Prayer of the Day.
God, our source and our goal, You have made us to hunger and thirst for You. Satisfy our hunger with the bread that gives real life; your Son , Jesus Christ. For He lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Amen.

Special Prayer for the General Synod.
Thank you for our Commission on Theology and all in the Church who have studied the women's ordination question, giving their time and energy to the understanding of your word and explaining, confessing and defending it. Thank you for the way they have listened to your word and each other and the way they have tried to make the issues clear for us. Bless them for their commitment to you and to the church. May their work not be in vain but bless the church and its mission.
