Even The Little Things

Hello Everyone!
This week, Lay Reader Andrew preaches to us on the miracle of the 5 loaves and two fishes. The question is, how much difference can do we think we can make in this world? Are we worried how we can feed the 5,000 with only a small meal? As we see in the disciples, they couldn't feed all those people under their own power-it took Jesus to give the power of abundance to their work!

Thank you, compassionate God, that your Son healed the sick and fed those who were hungry. Satisfy our hunger both for daily bread and for life-giving bread that lasts forever. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

A Double Header!

Hi Everyone!
My apologies for not having the following posts sooner, but things have been very hectic around here lately! (More on that next post.)

I do, however, have the last 2 messages available for you! The first one is from Lay Reader Steve and deals with what we need if we are to fully appreciate what the Gospel means:

Click to listen or download: Another Mind Set.

The next post is from Lay Reader Manfred and deals with one of Jesus' most intriguing parables:

Lead us, great and loving God, to desire, above everything, the gifts of your kingdom. Make us ready to renounce anything else for the sake of your most precious gift: your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Readings for the Day.
Genesis 29: 15-28
Romans 8: 26-39
