It all depends on what you make of it.

1 John 3:1-7 is one of those texts that can be as simple or as complicated as you choose to make it. Me?.....I go for simple.

Here John states what we are, that is, "God's children". Think about that for a moment. You are a child of God. Not because of anything you have done or will do or believe, but because God the Father's love is so great that it simply engulfs you and embraces you and makes you one with him. This is the result of his love and nothing more. When you recognize this truth and realize that it applies to you, then new life begins. When you let this divine love flow in you, then it begins to flow through you, your actions, your words, your attitudes, to touch others around you.

Pure grace.

So what?

So begin the days of Easter. Here is something that Luther wrote, "Are you among those who say, I have heard it all before; why must I hear it again?"

Well?
